8:30 Visit Bang Pa-in Palace - Originally built in 1632 under the reign of King Prasat Thong, the complex comprises several buildings of European-influenced architecture and Chinese building style dotted around a large park. The site was first used by the royal court as a summer retreat in the 17th century. However, the Palace was destroyed with the fall of Kingdom of Ayutthaya and was restored by King Rama IV in the mid-19th century. Most of the buildings that exist today date from the reign of King Rama V, who regularly spent his summers here. The structures represent a variety of architectural styles of royal pavilions, set in a large beautiful park around ponds and pathways.
10:00 - Visit Arts of the Kingdom, is a museum which exhibits the art collections created by the craftspeople of Queen Sirikit Institute. Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, founded the museum in order to display the artworks of the craftspeople under her patronage. The collections include their works from the early stages when they first began the training to the exquisite masterpieces after they have acquired the artistry. Some pieces are produced using the ancient techniques dating back to the Ayutthaya period, while others are the results of the new methods that came to life during the reign of King Rama IX. This place is worth to visit and see the rare and elegant pieces that are created by these skilled craftspeople.

13:20 – Visit UNESCO World Heritage Site - The Historic City of Ayutthaya, founded in 1350, was the second capital of the Siamese Kingdom. It flourished from the 14th to the 18th centuries, during which time it grew to be one of the world’s largest and most cosmopolitan areas and a center of global diplomacy and commerce. Ayutthaya was strategically located on an island surrounded by three rivers connecting the city to the sea. This site was chosen because it was located above the tidal bore of the Gulf of Siam as it existed at that time, thus preventing attack of the city by the sea-going warships of other nations.
The decline of Ayutthaya resulted when the city was attacked in 1767 and the city was burned to the ground, then the city was never rebuilt in the same location and today it is known as an extensive archaeological site.
Visit Wat Pra Si Sanphet – Located next to Wiharn Phra Mongkhon Bopit, it is an important temple built in the Royal Palace, comparable to the Temple of the Emerald Buddha of Bangkok or Wat Mahathat of Sukhothai. There are no monks to stay here but use it as a place to perform many important royal ceremonies. When walking into the temple, we will see a beautiful ancient place, old buddha images including various buildings that were ruined but we still see the traces of the beautiful architecture and prosperity of that time.
Visit Wat Mahathat – Where is something amazing, which is the head of a Buddha statue over a hundred years old in the root of the tree. The head of the Buddha image is a sandstone Buddha image in Ayutthaya Art that making it a strange beauty to become a miracle marking this temple become a famous and is well known to both Thais and foreigners. Furthermore, there are more ancient places and Buddha images around the temple as well.
Visit Wat Ratchaburana – It is one of the largest and most ancient temples in Ayutthaya. Built by King Borommaratchathirat II or Chao Sam Phraya in 1967, Wat Ratchaburana was once attacked by a group of robbers and stole the treasures. Later, the Fine Arts Department restored the excavation and decorated it. So they found leftover treasures and a lot of gold jewelry. At present, it is preserved at the Ratchaburana room inside the National Museum. Wat Ratchaburana is very famous for the discovery of many gold objects in the Phra Prang Yai crypt, and people can also go down to see murals from the early Ayutthaya period inside the crypt. Therefore, this temple is a popular temple for tourists to visit regularly.
