13.40 Visit Ban Chiang Museum
Ban Chiang Archaeological Site. It is one of the important prehistoric archaeological sites in Thailand and was registered as a world heritage site in December 1992 in Carthage, Tunisia. It is located on a high, oval-shaped mound along the east-west line, covering an area of approximately 400 rai. The middle of the mound is approximately 8 meters higher than the surrounding area. The people of Chiang village today are of Lao Phuan descent who migrated from Chiang Kwang province in Laos 200 years ago. Wat Pa Phu Kon is so beautiful that it catches the eye of many people. The temple has the characteristics of applied Thai architecture from the Rattanakosin period.
